Gary C. Kephart, 62, Maple Hollow, Duncansville, died unexpectedly Wednesday.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Carl D. and Shirly (Brua) Kephart. He married Karen A. Horton.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Zachary and wife, Ana, of Hollidaysburg; a grandson, Mason; a sister, Joyce Johnson (Van) of Curwensville; a brother, Glenn (Melissa) in Arizona; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gary was a 1967 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He retired in May 2012 from Spring Cove Container. He was a member of Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville, where he worked the sound system.
Gary was a member of the Blair Bicycle Club. He was an avid bicycle rider and enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and spending time with his grandson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville, the Rev. Rich Morris officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church.
