Damsels outlast archrival Glendale in five sets

FLINTON - The Moshannon Valley girls volleyball team defeated Glendale, 8-25, 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 15-10, on Thursday night.

Brooklyn Stephenson scored nine service points for Moshannon Valley. Logan McMillan scored 22 service points for Glendale.

Hollidaysburg cruises

HOLLIDAYSBURG - Katie Reed posted nine service points and 18 assists as Hollidaysburg swept Central, 25-20, 25-21, 25-13.

Alex Sheel had seven kills and three blocks for Hollidaysburg, while Elizabeth Yacobucci added nine digs. Ashley Smith led Central with 15 digs.

Kelly Yusko had 21 assists and a team-high 10 service points, while Taylor Freeman compiled 15 kills.

Annie Dombrowski had 12 service points, 11 digs and 11 kills. Logan McIntosh added 16 digs and Alexis Hicks chipped in with 10 kills as the Lady Marauders improved to 9-2.

BEDFORD - Bedford topped Forest Hills, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, behind 14 digs, nine service points and five blocks from Jenna Simon and 15 kills from Mikayla Shaffer.

Jordyn Cassidy led the Lady Bisons with 12 service points.

ALEXANDRIA - Casey Bowley had 18 service points, 13 kills, and four blocks, leading Juniata Valley past Claysburg-Kimmel, 25-27, 25-12, 28-26, 25-20. Abbie Zinobile chipped in seven service points, 21 kills, and six blocks for Juniata Valley, and Anna Sajeski added 17 service points.

C-K's Brooke Ritchey posted four assists and two digs, while Kara Snyder had five kills and three digs. Morgan Malovich added four blocks, three kills and five digs.
