BELLEFONTE - A former United Methodist minister will spend the next two to five years in state prison for violating his probation on a child-sex abuse conviction.
Dennis Reedy, 68, of Philipsburg had his probation revoked Thursday after a hearing in Centre County Court. He failed to complete the Project Point of Light sex-offender treatment program, a requirement of his probation, Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said.
Reedy was convicted in 2009 for having sex with a 16-year-old boy in a Nittany Mall bathroom, for fondling a 13-year-old boy and for giving two boys a pornographic story he had written about all of them engaging in sexual activities together.
Reedy is a sexually violent predator under Megan's Law and is required to register his address with state police for the rest of his life and to participate in counseling for life, Parks Miller said.
Reedy is currently jailed at Centre County Prison.
