Felix’s hat trick keys Bedford’s rout of CC

BEDFORD - Sam Felix's three goals and two assists led Bedford past Central Cambria, 10-0, in high school boys soccer Tuesday.

Garrett Thomas added two goals and two assists for Bedford, who also had goals from Blake Baer, Lalo Munoz, Stven Stroup, Stephen Calhoun, Alex Kendall and James Jeffries.

Hannah Johnston and Megan Flaugh also scored, and Olivia Smith recorded the shutout in goal. Central is 4-3-1.

Altoona girls triumph

DuBOIS - Megan Vigne scored two goals to lead the Altoona past DuBois, 4-2, in junior girls action.

Julia Sunderland and Amber Knott also scored for the Lady Lions, who are now 8-3.

Lion juniors triumph

DuBOIS - Mike Bartley, Matt Cowan, and Jake Detterline each scored goals for the Altoona junior high boys team in its 3-0 shutout of DuBois. Altoona is 8-3.

Spring Cove boys win

MARTINSBURG - Rudolfo Santos and Michael Speck each scored twice as Spring Cove defeated Philipsburg-Osceola, 5-1. Joey Smith also added a goal for Spring Cove (5-1).
