Sylvester M. Weatherly, 67, Harrisburg, formerly of Altoona, passed suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.
He was the son of the late Thomas McGee and Lucy Walker Weatherly.
He leaves to celebrate his life his children: Sylvester Weatherly and Donna Brown, both of Harrisburg, and Vernon and David Crawford; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Cornelius of Harrisburg and Frank of Altoona; nieces; nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; and siblings: Walter, Gert, Dorothy and James Weatherly and Kenneth Crawford.
Sylvester retired from the Pennsylvania Department of General Services as a HVAC specialist. He was a member of the Sixteenth Street AME Church in Altoona, American Legion, Elks Lodge 71 and Bostonian Club.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Hooper Memorial Home Inc., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
