Felix’s 2 goals key Bisons by NBC

LOYSBURG - Sam Felix scored two goals as Bedford shut out Northern Bedford County, 4-0, in high school boys soccer Monday.

Steven Stroup and Blake Baer also scored one goal.

Bedford goalie James Jeffries made a penalty kick save to the keep the shutout.

HOLLIDAYSBURG - Hollidaysburg fell to 8-3 following a 2-1 loss to Somerset at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers' only goal came early in the second half, courtesy of Zach Franks, for a 1-0 lead. Somerset scored with less than two minutes in the game for the win. Tyler Miller assisted on the Tiger goal.

Lady Lion juniors win

The Altoona junior high girls team improved to 7-3 with an 8-2 win at home at the Roosevelt Field.

Paris Hough scored four goals fort he winners, while teammate Megan Vigne added two goals. Mykenah Lynn-Massar and Amber Knott each added solo goals.

Altoona JH triumphs

Led by Matt Cowan's three goals, the Altoona junior high boys beat Mifflin County, 7-0, at the Roosevelt Field.

Jonathan Stroh, Evan Cardoza, Leroy Henry and Christian Shandlemeier also scored goals, and Jake Deterline earned the shutout in goal. Altoona is 7-3.
