Bernard LeRoy "Bernie" Long, 64, Johnstown, formerly of Portage, died Sunday. He was born in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Schultz) Hopper. Surviving are three children: Tabitha, Jeremy and Johnny; and three siblings: Barbara Long of Portage, Patricia McElheny of Loretto and Susan Hopper of Portage. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard, Roy and Dennis "Jock." At Bernie's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. A burial service will be held at Prospect Cemetery in Portage at a later date. Arrangements are by Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, Portage.
