Ruth L. Harpster, 67, Tyrone, died Monday. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late William Sanford and Velma Rebecca (Mattern) Harpster. Surviving are a brother, Eugene C. Harpster, a sister, Ella R. Harpster, and a sister-in-law, Alice Mattern, all of Tyrone. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
