James W. ‘Doc’ Yingling Jr.

James W. "Doc" Yingling Jr., 78, Bellwood, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his home.

He was born in Bald Eagle, son of the late James W. Sr and Violet (Bryan) Yingling. He married June A. Reigh on Aug. 26, 1955, in Bellwood.

Surviving are his wife; two sons: James B. (Connie) of Tyrone and Jonathan S. (Cheryl) of Altoona; a daughter, Jenny (Bill) Maloney of Bellwood; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother William of Leonardtown, Md.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Dot and Connie.

Doc was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, United Veterans Home Association, Bellwood and Bellwood Sportsman Club.

He retired as a steelworker roller for J & L Steel Co., Aliquippa Plant.

Doc enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing, visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bellwood-Antis Public Library or Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood.

Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.
