Beverly S. Rigby, 80, Hollidaysburg, died early Thursday morning at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Frankstown Township, daughter of the late Roy and Catherine (Pilshaw) Shultz. She married Joseph G. Rigby on Jan. 28, 1956, in Emporium.
Surviving are her husband, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage; a daughter, Susan Gortney and husband, Sam, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a son, Roy Joseph and wife, Melissa, of Huntingdon; five grandchildren: Sarah Green and husband, Mark, Sean and Lauren Higgins and Nicholas and Jacob Rigby; and two brothers: Roy Richard and wife, Donna, of Hollidaysburg and John J. and wife, Anita, of Johnstown and their daughter, Kaitlyn.

Beverly was a 1949 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Hollidaysburg Alumni Chorus. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg, where she was a member of the choir and taught Sunday school for 30 years. She enjoyed fishing and her lop-eared bunny, Trixie.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg, by the Revs. Dennis W. Derr and Jean Pletcher. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg.
