Joseph W. Hagg Sr., 91, Tyrone, died Thursday at Epworth Manor.
He was born in Tyrone, son of Ralph H. and Emma (Schoch) Hagg. He married Helen I. Marthouse on Aug. 11, 1945, in Tyrone, and she died Jan. 27, 1996.
Surviving are two daughters: Joanne Schell and husband, John, of Dayton, Ohio, and Marietta Androski and husband, Michael, of Hackensack, N.J.; two sons: Joseph W. Jr. and wife, Deborah, of State College and Ralph H. and wife, Sandra, of Corning, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three brothers: Vince, Gene and Francis Hagg, all of Tyrone.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Sister Lambert Hagg and Louise Klesius.
Joseph retired in 1982 from Chicago Rivet, Tyrone, as a machinist after 14 years of service. He previously had operated the Hagg family farm and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, St. Gregory Council, and also belonged to the Keystone Promenaders, a square dance band, for many years.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, where there will be a recitation of the rosary led by the Knights of Columbus at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at St. Matthew Church, Father Carl Spishak as celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
