Rebecca G. Romano, 54, Altoona, died Sunday afternoon at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Robert Yon and the late Shirley (Dibert) Yon. She married Christopher D. Romano on July 11, 1975, in Winchester, Va.

Surviving are her father; her husband; two daughters: Angela Semonis (James) of Warsaw, Ind., and Emily Teis (Jerry) of Philadelphia; two sisters: Nancy Roseberry and Carrie Sacchetti; numerous nieces; and a nephew.
Rebecca was a graduate of Tyrone High School and was employed with customer service at New Pig Corp. She had been a member of Community Bible Church, and she enjoyed cooking for her friends and people in need. She was known for serving others and was very artistic.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at New Life Community Church, 621 Bell Ave., Altoona, Pastor Sean Teis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
