The night of Sept. 11 while the American embassies in Libya and Egypt were under attack with Americans being killed, Mitt Romney hastily called a press conference to criticize President Obama.
Romney falsely accused the president of being sympathetic to the attackers and not condemning their attacks.
The statement Romney was referring to actually came from the Americans within the embassy whose very lives were at stake, as they tried to calm the protests.
John McCain's campaign manager Steve Schmidt commented, "It was a very serious mistake. People are evaluating now who has what it takes to be the next president, who has the right temperament, who has the right character, and Romney fell short with that statement."
Most Americans are beginning to see through Mitt Romney.
They see that he is not being straight with them about anything.
