Marjorie Ann Palumbo Burkett, 79, of Mountain View Drive, Tyrone, died Saturday at Altoona Regional.
She was born in DuBois, daughter of the late Dominic and Margaret (Punchious) Palumbo. She married John C. Burkett Sr. on April 20, 1956.
Surviving are her husband; four children: John Burkett Jr. and wife, Deb, of Luthersburg, Melinda Lucas and husband, Michael, of Houtzdale, Matthew Burkett and wife, Gayle, of Baltimore, Ohio, and Mary Treece and husband, Brian, of Saltsburg; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Theresa Hinderliter of New Columbia and Patricia Sebring in California; and three brothers: John "Tom" Palumbo of DuBois, Theodore Palumbo of Reynoldsville and LeRoy "Joe" Palumbo of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Adeline Naugel.
Marjorie was a homemaker and enjoyed canning and knitting.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc., 211 S. Main St., DuBois, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, with Pastor David Bish officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
