Emory G. Musselman, 72, of Alum Bank, formerly of Claysburg, went home to be with the Lord Friday at his residence.
He was born in Claysburg, son of the late Ross and Josephine (Musselman) Musselman. Surviving are a son, Mark E. Musselman and wife, Ronnette, of Claysburg; three grandchildren: Erika Albright and fiance, Matt Good, Kristen Wright and husband, T.J., and Kendall Musselman; two great-grandchildren: Mariah Good and Kamden Wright; two sisters: Mary Ellen Dively of Claysburg and Phylis Fisher of Dover, Pa.; five brothers: T. Gene of Bedford, Larry of Duncansville and Joe Benny, Shelby and Jeffrey, all of Claysburg; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Brad and Kim Dull and family; and his golden retriever, Fetchem.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Nancy Merritts and Linda Thompson; and three brothers: Kelly, James and Ricky Clark Musselman.
Mr. Musselman was a 1958 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He retired as manager of Blue Knob Resort in 1996 to become a full-time farmer. He was a member of Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, where he volunteered for many projects.
Emory enjoyed working on the farm, attending Claysburg football games and wrestling matches, hunting trips with his best friend, Francis, and lending a helping hand to friends and family. He especially enjoyed the two weeks of deer season, hunting with his grandson, Kendall, and having special talks and sharing memories. Emory will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Upper Claar Church of the Brethren with Pastor Greg Quintrell officiating.
