Moshannon Valley14

Mount Union12

HOUTZDALE - Jake Ludwig caught a touchdown pass from Tanner Dipko, and Caleb Campbell scored the game-winning touchdown with 5:32 to play as Moshannon Valley rallied from a 12-0 deficit Friday in high school football.

"This is a completely different offense than they were running last year, and the kids are doing a good job picking it up, especially the passing game," Moshannon Valley coach Michael Keith said. "We have some work to do in the run game, but for them to pick up the passing game and for Tanner Dipko to be playing the way he is, I couldn't ask for anything else."

WINDBER - Blacklick Valley trailed by just one at the half but couldn't stick with Windber in the final two quarters.

"I thought Windber was just more physical than we were," Blacklick coach Bill Zamboni said. "They controlled the line of scrimmage and when you do that you usually win the game. Our kids never quit, I just wish we were a little more physical."

WINGATE - Beau Bosch ran for a 20-yard touchdown and found Matt Wiley on a 25-yard score with 2:26 left, but Chestnut Ridge failed on the two-point conversion and lost to Bald Eagle Area.

"I am really proud of the effort my kids gave us tonight, but give them [BEA] credit, because they made a few more plays than we did," Chestnut Ridge coach Max Shoemaker said. "In a game like this one, it is just a matter of one play here or one play there so our kids have nothing to hang their heads about. We played hard, but unfortunately we came up a couple points short."
