Robert W. Mock Sr., 84, Altoona, died Wednesday evening at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Scott and Alma (Shellenberger) Mock. He married Josephine C. Haines in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters: Judith Anne Miller in Michigan, Justine Sanders and husband, Greg, in Washington and Joleen Karichner and husband, Jim, of Lock Haven; two sons: Robert W. Jr. and Ronald C. and wife, Tracy, all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a son-in-law, Blair R. Miller.
Robert served in the U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. Army during WWII, retiring as a first sergeant after 20 years of service. He worked for F.L. Smithe Machine Co. upon retirement from the military.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, the Rev. Peggy J. Bonsell officiating. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blair Senior Services.
