Bryan W. Prugar, 51, Altoona, died Wednesday at Altoona Regional after a brief illness of cancer.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Walter and Elsie (Davies) Prugar. He married Vicki Baum on July 29, 1994, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Jarrod of Altoona; a brother, Carl and wife, Trudy, of Altoona; two sisters: Janet McCready and Paulette Prugar, both of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bryan was a 1979 graduate of Altoona Area High School and was an electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 5 for the last 18 years. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR and watching his son play sports. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood.
A celebration of life for Bryan will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood, 1901 16th Ave., Altoona.
