Pamela Anne (Grimm) Vaughn, 54, Altoona, passed away Tuesday after a brief illness.
She was born in Pittsburgh and at 3 years old was adopted by the late Harold and Anne Marie Schoreder.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Christopher; a son, Christopher II and wife, Abby (Kunz); a grandson, Korbin; her mother-in-law, Alberta Vaughn; a brother, David Schoreder; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Pam was a 1976 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Christopher Vaughn, on June 11, 1977. An added joy in her life was when she gave birth to her son, Christopher II, on Aug. 1, 1981. In 2006, she gained the daughter she had wanted, Abby (Kunz), who gave Pam a grandson on Nov. 13, 2010, with another grandson due in January 2013.
Pam was a hard worker and had been employed at Tritex Sportswear and Hoagie Palace and most recently at Warnaco, where she made many special friends whom she loved and who loved her.
Pam loved to color and Skype with her grandson on the Internet. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
A private viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at D'Alessandro Funeral Home, Pittsburgh. A memorial service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood, 1901 16th Ave., Altoona.
