Joseph H. Cvercsek, 91, Patton, died Wednesday at Altoona Regional. He was born in Patton, son of John G. and Anna Cvercsek. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Regina Kirkpatrick of Patton; and a cousin, Carol Spacht. He was preceded in death by a brother, John; and four sisters: Verna Gunia, Anna Cvercsek, Helen Martz and Mary Stasko. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service today, Sept. 15, 2012, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, by Benedictine Fathers. Committal will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Patton.
