A Juniata man faces charges over alleged sexually explicit Internet chats with a state Attorney General's agent posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Harry S. Forshey, 64, of 516 N. 10th St. was arrested Wednesday morning by the Attorney General's Office's Child Predator Unit and Altoona police after a nearly two-month investigation, according to police.
Forshey allegedly first made contact with the agent through a Yahoo chat room July 17, using the screen name "master-of-pleasuree," according to Forshey's arrest papers.
Forshey sent the agent a picture of his penis and sexually explicit chat messages, police contend. He initiated contact with the agent three times that day and offered to allow the agent to view him performing a sexual act on his Webcam.
During the chat conversation, the agent referenced her age as only 14 and the next day, on July 18, Forshey allegedly gave the agent advice as to how to make an adult profile on Yahoo, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
"u may have to make an adutl [sic] id," Forshey allegedly typed. "just make an age like jan. 20 1980...or whatever date u want."
The agent could make the profile to see if his Webcam would work on it, Forshey allegedly said. He said he would also send the agent another picture of his penis. Throughout the conversation, Forshey asked the agent questions about sexual acts, police claim.
Forshey also had explicit chats with the agent on July 20 and Aug. 6 and 10, while the crime unit was seeking more information that would ultimately lead to his arrest, police said.
A search warrant was obtained from Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey P. Auker on Tuesday, and police executed the warrant just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. When agents and officers arrived at Forshey's home, his computer was running and he was logged into a Yahoo chat room, police noted.
Forshey's Yahoo account had "master-of-pleasuree" as a screen name and the screen name of the undercover agent was also located, police said.
Forshey's phone number is unlisted, and he could not be reached for comment later Wednesday on the charges.
Forshey was arraigned Wednesday morning before Auker and released on $125,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is slated for Wednesday at Central Court.
