Dorothy P. Diantoniis, 73, Altoona, died Tuesday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Warren Elwood and Catherine Louise (Page) Fletcher. She married Richard J. Diantoniis Sr. on Feb. 15, 1958, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and he died Nov. 24, 1988.
Surviving are three children: Richard J. Jr. and wife, Beth, and Catherine Hallinan and husband, Kerry, all of Altoona, and Carol Barton and husband, Douglas, of Mechanicsville, Va.; seven grandchildren: Danielle, Richard, Brooke, Tyler, Kerri Ann, Jenna and Trevor; two sisters: Mary Eisenberger of Clarence, N.Y., and Alice Sturniolo of Duncansville; and her friend and companion, William Walk of Tyrone.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Matthew and Daniel.
Dorothy was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, watching tennis and attending horse races, and she also enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and dog, Peggy. She was a very kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be very sadly missed by all.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Gilden Barton Funeral Home, 1401 Ninth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, by Pastor Richard J. Harter. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
