Jeanette N. "Jean" Ciambotti, 77, Altoona, died Monday at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Folcarelli) Salomie. She married Donald A. Ciambotti on Sept. 5, 1964, and he preceded her in death Nov. 16, 1988.
Surviving are three children: Robert G. (Michele), Gina A. Baker (John) and Dona J. Baughman (Chris), all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Catherine and David Baker, Andrew, Samantha, Daniel and Anna Baughman and Nicholas, Alexander and Domenic Ciambotti; a sister, Gloria Ciambotti of Altoona; six sisters-in-law: Domenica and Christine Ciambotti, with whom she resided for 48 years, Gloria "Sis" Salomie, Flo Evangelisto, Marian Fultz and Rita Luciano (James); a brother-in-law, Robert Ciambotti; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph J. Salomie Jr.
Jean was a graduate of Altoona High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she was very involved with the parish festival and volunteering and cooking for various functions. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscans. She enjoyed cooking, card club, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
