Ruth M. Bloyer, 98, formerly of Eldorado Mobile Home Village, died Sunday evening at Valley View Home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles E. and Catherine (Sherman) Hughes. She married Corbin L. Bloyer on Oct. 26, 1935, in Cumberland, Md., and he died in November 1987 after sharing 52 years of marriage.
Surviving are two sisters: Shirley Grassi and Catherine, both in Florida; and a brother, Charles of Akron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Charlotte Bartley; and a brother, Harold.
Ruth formerly attended Fir Hill Chapel in Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed reading her Bible.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, by the Rev. Jaime G. Olson. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio.
