Anna M. Scritchfield, 90, formerly of Duncansville and Sproul, went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning at The Village at Morrisons Cove.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Hassler and Florence P. (Mort) Glass. She married Chester Scritchfield on Oct. 10, 1938, in Cumberland, Md. He passed away on June 30, 1982, after sharing nearly 54 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannee Coco and husband, Angelo, of Manteno, Ill.; three sons: Warren K. and wife, Linda, of Shrewsbury, Chester Jr. of Mount Pilot, N.C., and Richard and wife, Donna, of Duncansville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, M. Larue Walker; a son, George; and a brother, Homer Glass.
Mrs. Scritchfield retired from Claysburg-Kimmel School District in 1987 after 24 years of service in the custodial department. She was a member of Claysburg Church of God.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, officiated by Pastor Barry Fry.
Interment will be in Sproul Union Cemetery.
