City police are investigating a report of at least two shots fired Saturday evening on the 1000 block of Second Avenue.
Altoona Police Cpl. Bill Boyles said police found bullet casings from a semi-automatic handgun on Second Avenue. Police recovered the gun on the 1000 block of Third Avenue; it will be sent to the state police crime lab in Greensburg to be examined.
Police have a suspect who claims that he fired in an attempt to disperse a large fight in the street.
The suspect was not named. No charges have been filed.
