Guy M. DeNardo, 74, Altoona, died Wednesday afternoon at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Romeo and Lucy (Grassi) DeNardo. He married Josephine Calabrese on Sept. 30, 1961, in Altoona, and she died Jan. 7, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters: Susan Portugal and husband, Joseph, and Robin Burns and husband, Gregory, all of Philipsburg; and five granddaughters: Diana Portugal and Megan, Jessie, Katie and Julia Burns.

He was preceded in death by a cousin, Sister Jeanne DeNardo, who was like a sister to him.
Guy was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. He served his country in the National Guard for 10 years and was a member of the 28th Division Band as a trumpet player. He was a self-employed businessman for many years and had been the owner/operator of Guy DeNardo Business Forms of Altoona. He had also previously worked for the GAF Corp., Olivetti's Typewriter and National Cash Register.
Guy was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona. He was an avid golfer and loved dogs, and at one time, he had his own band and performed backup for bands, including The Platters and The Spinners.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, the Rev. Robert J. Kelly as celebrant. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or American Diabetes Association.
