Bertha A. "Bert" or "Sis" Ott, 84, of Newry died Saturday evening at Golden Living Center, Hillview.
She was born in Lakemont, daughter of Karl and Ruth (Coho) Steinbrunner. She married James S. Ott in Winchester, Va. He died on March 16, 2004, having shared 55 years of marriage.
She is survived by three sons: Karl A. of Duncansville, James A. and wife, Kim, of Tulsa, Okla., and George A. and fiance, Patty, of Newry; one grandson, Karl A. Jr.; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Upright in South Caroline and Catherine Riley of Hollidaysburg; three brothers: Karl of Altoona and William and Charles, both of Hollidaysburg; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Bottenfield; and three brothers: Jim, Ronald and Robert.
Bertha enjoyed her family and many friends, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, taking long walks and going to yard sales.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by Monsignor Anthony B. Little. Interment will be at Alto Reste Park.
