Rashaan Ali Vaughn, 39, Duncansville, went to be present with the Lord and the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, Saturday morning at Western Pennsylvania Hospital.
He was born in Altoona, son of Ronald M. Vaughn and Carole (Smith) Lee.
Surviving are his mother, Carole, and step-father, Henry; wife, Katrina; four children: Imani, Jahim Ali, Ilana and Tiana; a brother, Julian; and a sister, Carolyn. He is also survived by his grandmother, Arlene Moudy; his grandfather, Charles E. Smith; a devoted aunt, Jacqueline Smith-Bennett; and aunt, L'Wanda Greenlaw.

Rashaan was a 1991 graduate of Altoona Area High School and was a member of the 1990 PIAA Class AAAA state champion 100 meter relay team. He attended Slippery Rock University.
Rashaan was loved by his family and many friends as he truly loved God with all of his heart and his neighbor as himself.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at the New Hope Baptist Church, Duncansville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
