Joseph W. Offman, 78, Portage, passed away Saturday. He was born in Portage, son of the late Adam and Mary (Sepata) Offman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle "Mert" (Swanhart) Offman. Surviving are his children: Joseph Offman and Carrie Ann; four grandchildren; and brothers: Tony, William and Raymond Offman. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, Mountain Ave. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Portage.
