Gary D. Wertz, 63, of Tyrone died Saturday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Chester Lee and Lanentia Louise (Snyder) Wertz Jr. Surviving are his wife, Jacklin (Carolus); children: Christopher Wertz of Port Matilda and Ashley Moore of Tyrone; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home with Reverend Norman E. Huff officiating. There will be a flag presentation by the Tyrone Honor Guard. Interment will be made in Blair Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
