Donna L. Hollen 76, Spindley Road, Gallitzin, died Friday at home.
She was born in Amsbry, daughter of the late Wilbert E. "Kid" and Hilda M. "Toot" (Kimmel) Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, on May 31, 2006; a son, Gregory; a daughter, Cheryl; and a grandson, Brandon Hollen.
She is survived by her children: Scott (Lisa Slebodnick) of Cresson; Pamela Hollen of Ebensburg, Joe (Carol Reed) of Tampa, Fla., Mike (Regina Pooler), with whom she resided, of Gallitzin RD, Chris (Mary Slebodnick) of Loretto and Colleen Benzie (Joe) of Gallitzin; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Wayne of Cresson, Freda Holmberg of Cresson, James (Jackie Moyer) of Gallitzin RD, Vivian Bathurst of Gallitzin RD, Darlene Simonds (Wayne) of York, John (Connie Diehl) of Gallitzin RD and Wanda Little (Dan) of Gallitzin RD; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful loving companion, her dog, Princess.
Donna enjoyed gardening, Sunday crossword puzzles and spaghetti dinners.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ashville, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Sean Code, celebrant. Committal will be at the church cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, where a vigil service will be held this afternoon.
Donna will be missed but knowing she is with her son, Gregory; and daughter, Cheryl, in God's Kingdom, will bring her family great comfort.
