Infielder Brock Holt became the 100th former Curve player to reach the major leagues when he was called up to the Pirates from Triple-A Indianapolis following Friday night's game.
Holt played with the Curve earlier this season and is in position to win the Eastern League batting title with a .322 average that leads the league with three games to go.
Holt crushed pitching after getting a call-up to Indy, hitting .432 in 24 games. He had three hits in four consecutive games from Monday through Thursday.
The Curve have reached the 100 players to the majors milestone in 14 seasons. There have been 426 players in franchise history, and 23.5 percent of them have gone on to play in the majors.
