Marie Elda (Gallo) Finelli, 89, Altoona, died Wednesday at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Gambatesa, Italy, daughter of the late Francesco and Michelina (Carozza) Gallo. She married Frank G. Finelli on May 15, 1946, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and he died Oct. 6, 1989.
Surviving are two sons: Franklin M. and wife, Jeanne (Duncan), and Guy M. and wife, Pamela (Burkholder). Marie had five grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Frankie, Anthony, Amigh, Guy M. II and Angela Michelle.

Nini is also survived by Kellie (Bradley) and Brian Ianuzzi and their children, Dominic Franklin and Adelia Marie, with whom she had a very special family bond.
She was preceded in death by a beloved brother, Michael Gallo, for whom she cared until his death; and by her oldest grandson, Frankie.
Marie was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School. She was of the Catholic faith and belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Dandy Lions, Columbian Circle, Catholic Daughters of America, Bon Secours Hospital Auxiliary and Altoona Lions.
Marie loved to play cards and bunko and to crochet, but most of all to travel.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Monsignor Stanley Carson. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blair County Special Olympics, P.O. Box 648, Altoona, PA 16603; or the Franklin M. Finelli II Scholarship Fund at the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation, 1330 11th Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
