Joyce E. Burket Gill, also known as Georgia E. Gill, 84, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone, died Wednesday. She was born in Logan Township, Huntingdon County, daughter of David and Lula (Locke) Hammond. She married the late Howard Burket. Surviving are two daughters: Cindy Mills of Julian and Joe Ann Ruffner of Lock Haven; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Tom Burket. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, Pastor Charles Boydston officiating. Private interment will be made in Blair Memorial Park.
