Liberty can be defined as the "right to choose" according to the Encarta Dictionary. In today's society that volition can be taken away by certain conglomerate companies.
It is human nature to be concerned about the well-being of our loved ones. We would want the best care and service for all of their needs. In short, we would love to be able to choose what home care provider we want to purchase our equipment (such as wheelchairs, oxygen, etc.) from.
Some insurance and big-name companies will neglect to tell you that there are many medical equipment providers that you can choose from. They claim you are given a choice, but if you do not tell them up front where you want to go, they will choose one for you.
This chosen provider hand-feeds the big-company because it is owned by them. It is in a sense, its own self-preservation. In short, it does things for the good of the company not the good of the citizen.
Do not allow others to control your freedom and strip away your liberty; tell them you have a right to choose your provider.
As a resident of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania you have your right to be able to choose what home care provider will service you.
