Ann M. Dionis, 93, of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday at the home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles E. and Anna M. (Zeigler) Rouzer. She married Joseph G. Dionis on Sept. 20, 1941, and he died on Aug. 29, 1982.
Surviving are her son, Robert Dionis of Duncansville; and her daughter, Elaine Temofonte and husband, Alan, of Altoona; grandchildren: Eric Dionis of Kalamazoo, Mich., Jennifer Temofonte of Cresson and Dr. Nicole and her husband Michael Grimes of Pittsburgh; and her unborn but eagerly anticipated great-granddaughter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Gauntner; and a brother, William Rouzer.
Ann is also survived by her best friend and companion, Homer Leaper, and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who considered her as family.
She was a life member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, where she served as a lector for many years.
Ann loved to sing, dance, write and tell stories. She enjoyed being a member of the Bavarian Ladies Auxilary, the Golden Nuggets and the Horseshoe Seniors.
At Ann's request, there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 28, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mary's Memorial Fund or Garvey Manor, where she was so lovingly cared for.
