Gary D. Steele, 69, of Punta Gordam, Fla., passed away Saturday. He was born in Swissvale, Pa., son of William and Margaret (Warsing) Steele. Surviving are his wife, Debby; daughter, Mandy Turnage; step-children: Sally Gulmy and Scott Davis; siblings: Larry "Casey," Mike, Dorothy "Dottie" Britton and Linda Hendrickson; and five grandchildren. Gary served in the U.S. Air Force. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda, Fla. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Punta Gorda, Fla. Burial will take place at Sarasota National VA Cemetery.
