Florence G. Reed, 76, Hollidaysburg, died Saturday at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late John I. Prickett and Inez (Truland) Prickett Alt. She married Donald L. Reed on Nov. 20, 1954, in Souderton.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Donna L. Bennett and husband, Stephen, of Altoona; a son, Robert A.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Stanley Gordon.
Florence earned a degree in secretarial science and business from Lansdale Business College. She was employed for 33 years as a principal's secretary at North Penn School District, Lansdale, and later as an administrative secretary for the assistant superintendent of schools.
Florence attended the Juniata Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with family and friends.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
