As time dwindles down to the withdraw date of the troops in Afghanistan, tensions heat up in Iran and Syria and our relationship further deteriorates with Pakistan, I would send a message to the president, elected officials and all candidates running for offices.
When I joined the armed forces of the United States, I took an oath to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. I do not consider that to include a perceived need to democratize the world.
I say this as a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and only speak for myself. I do hope many others feel the same as I do.
