Weldon R. "Lefty" Wilt, 98, Duncansville, went to be with the Lord Friday morning at The Winds at Mattern Orchard, Duncansville.
He was born in Duncansville, son of the late Frank and Emily (Gibbony) Wilt. He married Mabel H. Appleyard, who preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 1993.
Surviving are a son, Ronald C. Sr. (Dona) of Duncansville; three grandchildren: Rebecca Wood (Jeff) of Philipsburg, Robin Hammond (Roy) of Puzzletown and Ronald C Jr. (Jennifer) of Camp Hill; and six great-grandchildren: Kylie Minarchick (Dustin), Justin and Kaitlyn Hammond and Jared, Brandon and Hunter Wilt.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Marguerite Wilt, Marian Herbster and Dorothy Johnston; and two brothers: George and Clifford "Guy."
Weldon, also known as "Lefty," along with his brother, ran the AG Market in Duncansville for 30 years. A man who loved his God, he was a charter member of the Altoona Bible Church. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, his rose gardens and spending the winters in Florida.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, Pastors Stewart McClelland and Lynn Johnston officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Altoona Bible Church Missionary Fund.
