Gary S. Clapper

Gary S. Clapper, 69, of Red Lion passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at home.

He was born in Canoe Creek, son of the late Joseph F. and Flo I. (Lloyd) Clapper. Gary was the husband of Marian S. (Ebersole) Clapper.

In addition to his wife, Marian, Gary will be lovingly missed by three children: Heather Trudel of Oxford, Mark Clapper, husband of Elizabeth (Weikert), of Lancaster and David Clapper, husband of Megan (Rutt), of Haddon Heights, N.J.; and six grandchildren: Torrin, Dameon, Emily, Camden, David and Ellie.

Gary received a Bachelor of Arts from God's Bible School and a teaching certificate from St. Francis University. He taught at Williamsburg Elementary and Kraybill Mennonite. He was principal of Maranatha Christian and Shalom Christian Academy. Gary retired from Richter Precision as operations manager.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Sheetz Funeral Home, 16 E. Main St., Mount Joy. A funeral service honoring Gary's life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Forrest Hills Mennonite, 100 Quarry Road, Leola. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church after the service. Interment will be private at Canoe Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to LMS Kraybill Campus, 598 Kraybill Church Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
