Fund can repair image

August 11, 2012
The Altoona Mirror

Fact: The hierarchy of the Penn State football program covered up the Sandusky debacle to protect the image of the program out of fear of loss of prestige and income.

Fact: The alumni, future alumni, students, present coaching staff and players had nothing to do with the cover-up. Sanctions affecting these people would be counter productive.

Fact: The public image of the university has been seriously damaged and needs a serious and sacrificial effort to recreate it's national image.

Solution: Become a national leader in child abuse protection services, by investing 10 percent of future gross football revenues for as many years as the cover-up existed into a trust fund dedicated to publicizing, investigating and litigating child abuse activities and treating its victims.
