Jeannette L. Gentry, 102, formerly of Hollidaysburg and who recently resided with her daughter in Grantville, died Saturday at Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.
She was born in Saxton, daughter of the late Harry R. and Eleanor (Carberry) Sleek. She married Robert H. Gentry on Dec. 24, 1924, in Cumberland, Md. He died Feb. 5, 1991.
Surviving are two daughters: Marguerite (Lorren) Reynolds of Grantville and Patricia (J. Elvin) Hershey of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Magill; and two sons: John and Robert Jr.
Mrs. Gentry was a homemaker. She was a member of Grantville United Church of Christ and Eastern Star.
Friends will be received from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, officiated by Pastor George Robertson.
Committal will be at Presbyterian Cemetery.
