LEADING OFF: The heart of the Curve's order had a very nice game against New Britain. OF Adalberto Santos, C Ramon Cabrera and OF Oscar Tejeda - who hit third, fourth and fifth, respectively in the Curve's order - all went 2-for-4 and each scored once.
SAFE AT FIRST: Altoona and New Britain combined to have 22 hits in the game, but neither team was particularly good when it was threatening to score. The Curve went 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position, while the Rock Cats went 2-for-12.
STEALING SECOND: RHP Kris Harvey came out of the bullpen and threw two scoreless innings. After a rough start to the season, Harvey has been great lately as he's allowed just two earned runs in his last 17 appearances (27 innings).
ROUNDING THIRD: Friday was the first time the Curve have played at New Britain this year, which makes Portland and New Hampshire the only Eastern League destinations the Curve haven't visited in 2012.
HEADING HOME: LHP Kris Johnson is scheduled to start tonight for the Curve. In his last start, Johnson gave up one run on one hit on July 29 against New Hampshire.
