Suzanne I. Wilt, 70, Lakemont, died unexpectedly Sunday evening at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Franklin and Cora (Fisher) Jones. She married Sherman G. "Gary" Wilt on July 25, 1970, in Lakemont.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Matthew L. and girlfriend, Christine Howerton, of Altoona; a daughter, Sharon K. (John) Futterer of Neenah, Wis.; three grandchildren: Shawn Bowers, Tessa Wilt and Nativita Kaminski; a great-grandchild, Bailey Bowers; four brothers: Franklin (Marianne) Jones of Lakemont, Kenneth (Marci) Jones of Olympia, Wash., Gary (Jeannie) Jones of Ashville and Dave (Marge) Jones in California; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Suzanne was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was employed at Saf-T-Bak before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family and made sure there was always room for one more at the dinner table.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
The family suggests that contributions in Suzanne's memory be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
