LEADING OFF: As long as the weather allows it, the Curve's game tonight against New Hampshire will go nine innings. It will be the first nine-inning contest at Peoples Natural Gas Field since July 9 as the Curve have played seven straight seven-inning games at home.
SAFE AT FIRST: SS Brock Holt entered Friday with the fifth most hits in the Eastern League, and he added to that total Friday. Holt was a combined 4-for-7 and now has 114 hits on the season.
STEALING SECOND: Though he didn't play Friday, OF Evan Chambers was called up to Altoona from High-A Bradenton. Chambers had a stint with Altoona earlier in the season, and he hit .190 with one homer and seven RBIs in 16 games.
ROUNDING THIRD: Koby Clemens, son of former major leaguer Roger Clemens, started at catcher in game one for New Hampshire. Clemens, who is 25, was 0-for-2.
HEADING HOME: OF Adalberto Santos was a combined 2-for-6 in the doubleheader. Santos has been hot at the plate since coming off the disabled list after the All-Star break and is 17-for-45 (.378) in 14 games.
