HOLLIDAYSBURG-Dennis DeGol won his second consecutive Scotch Valley Country Club Match Play championship defeating Mitch Neaffer, 3 and 1.
Seth Smith won the first flight, beating Don Beerbower, and in the second flight, Brady Lanning beat Tim Clapper. Bruce Baldwin won the third flight, beating Brian Irwin.
The team of Todd Garber, Ken Geesaman, Dave Corman and Brad Whitlock defeated the team of Carl Wilson, Kirby Smith, Steve Frusciante and Greg Snyder in a card off in the Oakmont Flight of the 7-D Golf Outing. Both teams shot 63s.
In the Muirfield Flight, Jerry Resides, Kevin Elliot, Mike Mooney and John Vukman carded a 67 to take first place. The team of Jim Dell, Mark Herring, Bob Klinger and Tom Horan finished second carding a 68.
In the Scotch Valley Flight, Craig Kemmerer, Thadd Wendt, Don Clapper and Rick Sanders shot a 65 to win first. John O'Rourke, John Thompson, Gary Huston and Ron Ives took second, carding a 69.

John Fleck, a 12-year-old from Duncansville, aced the 145-yard seventh hole using a seven fairway wood on July 11 at Maplecrest Golf Course. Mike Fleck, Erica Fleck and Justin Fleck were witnesses.
Jack Flude had had a hole-in-one on No. 2, a 125-yard par-3 at Sylvan Hills on July 19. He was playing with Bill Snyder, John Bottenfield and George Focht.
TYRONE - The team of Jim Franchio, Andy Kushner, Bob Brown and Tom Yancey took first place in the Sinking Valley Country Club Senior Scramble. John Graham, Jim Dambeck, Mike Gority and Joe Harpster Sr. took second. Fred Baumgartner, Bob Gray, Bob Kelly and Lee Wertz finished third, and the team of Chris Futrick, Dan McFarland, Mike Finochio and Yogi Johannes finished fourth.
In the Tuesday Night League, Cory Williams, Don Price, Jean Kelly and Priscilla Heidler took first place. Suz Price, Chris Dutrow and Bob Kelly finished second, and John Graham, Mark Schimminger and Sherrie Buchanan took third place.
Bob Kelly, Jean Kelly, Tom Crawford and Pam Crawford took first place in the Couples Outing at the Sinking Valley Country Club. The team of Tom Jackson Sr., Ann Jackson, Doug Buchanan and Sherrie Buchanan finished second, and the team of third place Lou Kabello, Chris Kabello, Mark Long and Emily Bickle place third.

CRESSON-Barry Brodski, Stan Stough, Jason Bihary and Lee Houck won the Father's Memorial Scholarship Fund Outing at the Summit Country Club. The four (62) beat Matt Repko, Ed Tablar, Gary Weakley and Adam Plunkett by one stroke.
Pat Chirdon, Bucky Skupien, Jordan Plunkett and Tom Capriotti took third, carding a 64.

HOLLIDAYSBURG - Lynn Perry, Connie Angeski, Rosey McCoy and Linda Derman won the Sylvan Hills Golf Club Ladies Golf Association Jack & Jill competition on Tuesday with a score of 33.
Gary Zimmerman, Rick Terza, Carol Young and Linda Smith were second a stroke back, and Harry Murphy, John Brinkmiller, George Terza and Denise Madden took third.

HUNTINGDON - Gerald Huggler (40) had the low gross score during the Huntingdon Country Club's Big Orange League's second week of the second cycle.
Jim Lasko's score of 35 was the low net. John Hughes' putt on the eighth hole for a birdie was the shot of the day.
Philipsburg CC
PHILIPSBURG - Anthony Czap won first place in the net division with a score of 64 at the Fish Open by Dux Head Environmental Services. Barry Reese and Joe Beigle tied for second with a score of 65.
In the gross division, Stu Michaels won with a score of 66, and Patrick Brown and Mike Braniff tied for second with 67.
The team net winners were the team of Dave Brown, A.J. Czap, Ron Eiler and Joe Worrick and the team of Joe Beigle, Marlin Bowersox, Tom Crater and Frank Webster with a score of 121.
The team of Pat Brown, Michael Czap, Jim Dixon and Gary Helsel tied Garrett Bastardi, Mike Elliot, Chris Snyder and Dane Young for first place in the team gross competition.
