Lenora Casciotti, 86, Tyrone, died peacefully Sunday evening at Epworth Manor, Tyrone, after an extended illness.
She was born in Norwich, Pa., daughter of the late Antenore and Elvira (DePetris) Casciotti.
She is survived by a brother, Leonard, of Altoona, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings: Raymond, Elio and Leonard Casciotti, Viola Andretta and Edith Fleming, who died July 3, 2012.
Lenora was a 1943 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired on April 15, 1991, as a meter maid for New York City with 25 years of service. She was previously employed by A&P and Sylvania in Altoona and by Hamilton Watch Co. in Lancaster.
Lenora was a past member of St Mark's Catholic Church and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona. She enjoyed bowling and sports and was an avid baseball fan of the New York Yankees.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Jones Funeral Home, where a funeral service outside of Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
