LaVerne M. Buck, 82, Cresson, died Thursday at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Cresson, daughter of the late Adrian and Margaret (Latterner) Buck.
Surviving are two siblings: Patricia Muffie (Ronald Sr.) and Paul, both of Cresson; a sister-in-law, Nancy Buck of Gallitzin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
LaVerne had been employed at Latterner's Grocery Store, Cresson, for 50 years and then at McCauley Hall, Cresson, for 23 years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Parish.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at St. Aloysius Church by the Very Rev. Father John D. Byrnes. Committal will be in the church cemetery.
